EARTH'S MANTLE
Earths mantle is a liguid layer of molten rock. (The mantle is the thick layer of red shown in the picture.)
Did you know that the earth's mantle is mostly put together by silicate rocks. Did you know that the upper mantles thickness is approximately 400 km thick. Lower mantle is 2300 km thick, way thicker than the upper mantle. Did you know that the mantle takes up about 85% of earths crust. The plates on the mantle goes very slowly. Did you know that the mantles temperature is approximately 3000ºC.
